Our campsite by the River Swale offers you the chance of a peaceful relaxing break. There are lots of small waterfalls on this stretch of the river and you are welcome to make small campfires over the riverbank. We also have a site which has a panoramic view of Kisdon Hill and the valley down towards Muker. The site is usually not too busy, many of our campers are overnight walkers doing the Coast to Coast, Pennine Way, Herriot Way or just passing through. Children tend to like our riverside site so they can play in the river. We are situated on an ideal stretch of the river for kayaking (when there has been sufficient rainfall). You can see some pictures of this by going to http://kayaking-on-swale.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/
We have a farm teashop providing hot & cold drinks, light refreshments, basic provisions and a small off licence. The site has toilets with hand washbasins (hot&cold water), a FREE hot shower and there are washing-up facilities. We also have a car parking area for people wanting to leave cars overnight or a few days. Fees for the current season Adults £6 per night. Children : under 5's no charge, 5-14 yr olds £3 per night, 15 yrs and above adult price applies.

2nd July 2008This site is fab!! Best I've been to so far. You can camp right by the river Swale in a beautiful tree-lined field with a waterfall at either end of the site and lots of little ready made firesites on the river bank. Totally basic: empty field, 2 loos, washing up are... but gorgeous hot power shower to warm up after your dip in the falls.
